1969 Ford Pumper
This 1969 Ford Pumper is a snub nose cab-over model. Runs and drives. She starts on the first try. There is a leaky power steering hose that needs to be replaced. The gas powered engine is 570 ci and runs great. The transmission is a 6 speed automatic which shifts and drives well. The Air brakes and tires are in pretty good condition. The inside of the cab is original, it's all there and in good condition. All the gauges seem to work. On the rear of the cab, near the bottom there is a rusted through spot on each side. They are about 5" X 4". I was going to weld on a piece of chrome deck plate over them. I have pics if you like. The paint looks to be original to the truck. There are no other issues with the body.
The Fire Truck comes with the cab light bar with built in PA and adjustable siren, 2 rear emergency lights, Motorola Scanner, original communication equipment, 2 hydrant wrenches and 2 long, 4 inch hoses with strainers. There is a motorized reel on top with 2 inch hose that appears to still be in usable condition, though I am not sure if the motorized reel still works. There is quite a bit of 3 inch hose but I doubt it is any good. She comes with a new 1000 amp battery. The original nose siren still works as do the air horns.
I have no idea the size of the tank, though I would estimate it at around 2,000 to 3,000 gallons. The tag on the truck near the controls states that the pump pushes 750 gpm. I have no way of testing the pump, so I don't know if it is operational. The previous owner stated that it was rebuilt about 7 years ago. All of the pump gauges are intact and the misc levers and valves seem to move freely.
Remove the old 3 inch hose from the back and you have a nice platform to carry people for parades and such.
