1969 International Ice Cream Truck - $900 - Clarkston, Washington

(Clarkston, Washington/Lewiston, Idaho)

1969 International Ice Cream Truck

1969 International Ice Cream Truck

For sale in Clarkston, Washington, a 1969 International Ice Cream Truck running shell. This 1969 International started life as a mail truck and is still right-hand-drive. Strong 6 cyl. engine with automatic transmission and large drum brakes. Very little body damage - none requiring panel replacement. Roll-up back door and sliding right and left front doors. Custom modular wheels in black and chrome. Very tiny amount of rust - all surface. The engine starts and runs with no smoke and has plenty of life left in 'er. All in all this is a pretty decent small step van that would make a sweet ice cream truck, but it does need a bit of love.

Here is a list of things to check/fix before daily driving it.

Brakes need pumped to work - and with trucks this old, it's a good idea to change all rubber parts from the get-go.

The steering box needs to be replaced or rebuilt/adjusted - right now it's too tight? The driver's sliding door looks to need new bushings - it slides rough - the passenger door works great.

The throttle linkage on carb needs to be extended to allow for smoother acceleration and more throttle movement.

A couple new tires.

I have done my best to be as honest as possible about the problems with the vehicle to save us both some time. These trucks are getting harder to find as most of them were converted to ice cream trucks in the early 70's.

$900 Firm. Call 971-404-2288 or 509-552-6688 if any questions or for more information.
