12/6/2011 (Tampa, Florida) - In 1994 Marlboro offered 1 of a 1,000 pool tables designed by Brunswick. This Brunswick is in very good condition. The table has been kept in a climate control house since it was set up for the first time. It has been re-felted once to a teal (originally red) and has only two small scuffs. The Brass Plate reads "Designed by Brunswick Exclusively for Marlboro". You could be the proud owner on this 1 of only a 1,000 made pool tables designed by Brunswick. Surely this table will only increase in value, with time. Technical Information: The Marlboro Pocket Billiard Table by Brunswick was a special run table exclusively for a Marlboro cigarette promotion. Orders for the table were accepted beginning May 16, 1994, and were accepted on a first-come first service basis until the 1,000 units were purchased. The Marlboro is 8' with 3/4" slate, and featured construction of solid exotic hardwood, a rich handcrafted finish; precision diamond-honed slate; Super Speed cushions. It came with balls, triangle, brush, bridge head, chalk and 4 pool cues. It was similar in construction and materials to the Brunswick Sherwood model, available from 1990 to 1994, which at the time it was discontinued had a manufacturer suggested retail price of approximately $2,000.
