Details: It's official! The Air Force's aerial demonstration team, the Thunderbirds, are coming to the Thunder on the Bay air show and open house, April 4-5 on base. The Thunderbirds are only one of many groups who will perform. Other performers include the Army Golden Knights and the Air Force Academy Wings of Blue parachute teams, the War Birds, and the Air Force Academy Acro team.

Details: This annual air show features a variety of aircraft from vintage to the latest and most powerful fighter jet, the F-22A. From civilian aerobatics to military demonstrations, there is excitement in the air throughout each day. Aircraft will be on display for tours and photo opportunities and there will be exhibits and children’s entertainment. The Friday night kick-off features an after dark air show, concert by Pat Green and fireworks. There is something for everyone at AirPower over Hampton Roads! Free. Flying starts at 5:30p on Friday and at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. Entry to the base is via the Armistead Gate. Performers this year include The USAF Aerial Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds and Air Combat Command F-22 Aerial Demonstration Team.
