4/4 & 4/5, 2009 - Keesler AFB Air Show Mississippi Location: Keesler AFB Details: It's official! The Air Force's aerial demonstration team, the Thunderbirds, are coming to the Thunder on the Bay air show and open house, April 4-5 on base. The Thunderbirds are only one of many groups who will perform. Other performers include the Army Golden Knights and the Air Force Academy Wings of Blue parachute teams, the War Birds, and the Air Force Academy Acro team.

4/12, 2009 - Thunder Over Louisville Louisville, Kentucky Location: Downtown Website: www.thunderoverlouisville.org Details: Ranked as one of the top five air shows in the nation, each year the event promises to fill the Louisville skyline with action packed aviation. The show begins at 3 PM with continuous performances and fly-bys until 9:30 PM. The Air Show dazzles the crowd with more than 100 planes, aerobatics teams, daring sky diving groups and breathtaking stunts. And the amazing technology of the United States Air Force, Navy, Army and Marines are always crowd favorites.

4/21 - 4/26, 2009 - Sun 'N Fun Air Show Lakeland, Florida Location: Lakeland Linder Regional Airport Details: Start your aviation year at Sun 'n Fun, one of the world's premier events for recreational aviation enthusiasts. The focus is on education with more than 450 educational forums, seminars and "hands-on" workshops; plus more than 500 commercial exhibitors who offer aviation products and services including all the major aircraft manufacturers; daily air show plus additional night air show on Friday, April 24; more than 5,000 aircraft of every size and shape.
4/25 & 4/26, 2009 - Wings Over Wayne Air Show Goldsboro, North Carolina Location: Seymour Johnson AFB Details: Witness the professional competence of United States Air Force personnel & F-15E's superior maneuverability and acceleration. The team displays the F-15E as part of the technological advancement's in U.S. military air power. No admission fee this year.

4/25 & 4/26, 2009 - AirPower Over Hampton Roads Langley AFB, VA Location: Langley Air Force Base, Memorial Park Website: www.langleyafbairshow.com Details: This annual air show features a variety of aircraft from vintage to the latest and most powerful fighter jet, the F-22A. From civilian aerobatics to military demonstrations, there is excitement in the air throughout each day. Aircraft will be on display for tours and photo opportunities and there will be exhibits and children’s entertainment. The Friday night kick-off features an after dark air show, concert by Pat Green and fireworks. There is something for everyone at AirPower over Hampton Roads! Free. Flying starts at 5:30p on Friday and at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. Entry to the base is via the Armistead Gate. Performers this year include The USAF Aerial Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds and Air Combat Command F-22 Aerial Demonstration Team.
4/25 & 4/26, 2009 - Vidalia Onion Festival Air Show Vidalia, Georgia Location: Vidalia City Hall Website: www.vidaliaonionfestival.com Details: Come early and enjoy some Excellent food sold by a variety of vendors. Plenty of Free Parking at the airport, but traffic can be a bit busy, so come early. Also, there will be an off site parking lot, convenient to the Arts & Crafts Festival, Carnival and the Air Show, with a free shuttle to the airport.
