7/24/2013 (Harrison, Michigan) - The Harrison DDA (Downtown Development Authority) is holding its 7th Annual Harrison Street Fair. The Street Fair is a two day event with many, many things happening. Such as a stopover for the Old 27 Car Tour, a Veteran’s Display, a beer tasting and food tent, a kid’s carnival with a mobile zoo, inflatables and pony rides, a Kid’s Discovery and Learning workshop, antique snowmobiles display and our own “Antique Road Show” that’s free, a battle of the bands, the 7th Annual 9 and 10 softball team vs. the Clare County Sheriff’s Dept. challenge and lots of other happenings.
The DDA would like to invite you to our event when the Harrison DDA takes a step back in time on Friday, August 23, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as the “Historic US 27 Motor Tour” stops in Harrison. Hundreds of classic cars are expected to participate in this six day, eleven city motor tour, along nostalgic old US 27. The cars will be on display while parked on Main Street (M-61) from Broad Street to First Street.
Participants of the US 27 Motor Tour will begin in Indiana on August 19 and then travel through Michigan from Coldwater to Cheboygan over the next six days. The tour meets in Downtown Harrison on Friday August 23rd, and those classic cars will be on exhibit from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For additional information about the tour, visit www.Old27Tour.com
