7/10/2016 King of Prussia, Pennsylvania - In August, TRM, the Living Ground and Upper Merion Township will team up for the 2nd Annual Festival of People on Sunday August 28, 2016 from 10am-7 p.m. held at the Township Park, 175 West Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA. Live local talent showcase, musical performances, visual art, vendors, a Kid’s Zone, Senior’s Oasis, giveaways, prizes, and much more.
Festival management is seeking anyone with expertise in dancing, singing, playing an instrument or other talents to sign up for the talent showcase. Well-known bands and musicians take to the stage throughout the day to continue the merriment. Onstage performances will include musical selections from all genres featuring music from days gone by, as well today’s popular tunes.
Children will have a blast in the Kid’s Zone complete with water slides so kids bring your bathing suits, basketball and football games and more, while senior citizens will sit back, relax, share stories of Upper Merion’s past, listen to music from the big band era and take their rightful place as honored guests under the Oasis Tent.
Businesses big and small will sell merchandise or offer information regarding service they provide to the public, and community based organizations from Montgomery County
will be on hand to disburse literature and give-a-ways.
This festival will offer all nationalities and ethnicities the opportunity to learn about each others cultures. This will be an educational and social event which promotes learning diverse traditions. “The King of Prussia Festival of People outdoor celebration is a fine way for Upper Merion residents of all ages to learn, mingle, and enjoy family, friends, and fun,” commented Howard Scott, TRM director.
TRM is a nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to edify the community by providing educational programs, publications, and civic events that are all inclusive; and to rebuild positive self-esteem and accountability for those in need by providing encouragement, hands-on support, and resources that are dedicated to their specific need.
