I don't think many people would know his real name, Christopher Hewett, but nearly everyone remembers Mr. Belvedere! In the mid-80s, I was with my family in California, and on Sunday my mom insisted we go to church. What a drag, I thought, but church in LA is not the same as back home because Mr. Belvedere was one of the readers during Mass and he even assisted during the Eucharist. Coolest. Mass. Ever.
