How To Make Funnel Cakes Recipe
Here is an easy to make recipe for making this homemade concession food at home. Here's what you will need:
1 cup of water
3/4 butter stick
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of flour
1 cup of eggs (around 4 large eggs & 2 whites)
Vegetable oil
Powdered sugar topping
Boil salt, butter, sugar, and water together in saucepan. Next add flour and work it in until it is mixed in and you see the dough form a ball. Move the mixture to the bowl of a standing mixer and let cool for four minutes. With mixer on low, add eggs one at a time, making sure the 1st egg is completely incorporated before moving on. Once the eggs are all added and the mix is smooth, put dough in a piping bag fitted with a number 12 tip. You may also use a funnel as shown in the video. Heat 1 inch of oil in a heavy pan. Pipe dough into oil, making a free-form lattice pattern; cook until golden brown, flipping only once. Remove it from the oil, then drain on paper towels, & top with powdered sugar. Repeat until you have used all the batter.
