I worked at Paramount Pictures in the late '70s. One day I was walking across the lot and saw a man jogging. I ran up beside him and joined him. He stopped, smiled, asked me what I did at the studio, and then introduced himself. "Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Gene Roddenberry." It was like he was playing a trick on me to see my eyes get big with awe at meeting the creator of Star Trek!
