The rustic old lodge is surrounded by large twisted oak trees and sits next to a back water of the Cedar River. It is owned and operated by the Black Hawk County Conservation Board. Visitors purchase their tickets at the new Rotary Reserve lodge and then are transported down to Panic Park by a tram. After the visitor has gone through Panic Park, a tram takes them back to the new lodge. The muderer(s) were never caught and it remains a mystery to this day.
