How Much Money Can You Make in the Food Vending Business?

I'm thinking of doing a peanut vending business, but its a special recipe and type of peanut. I think they will sell really well...but what's realistic? If your charging 3-5 bucks per "serving" how many would you sell in a day? or week? How much money will you make after all your expenses? I want to hear from ALL types of vendors. I'm really curious.

Vending Business

I own a concession trailer and have been doing shows for 10 years. Last year was one of my worst years. All the vendors that I talk too, where down anywhere from 40 to 60 percent last year and some shows just breaking even. There is money to be made but it all depends on the shows and what you are expecting to make per show. When I do a sow I expect to make $500 to $700 per day if not more. You also have to figure out what you spent on getting into the show. Show fees for food vendors are quite high. I have paid up to $600.00 for a weekend. Some shows are $1500.00 The least expense shows I have made more than the larger shows. It all depends on what your goals are.
