Back in the early '80s I was working in a parking lot in center city Philadelphia, PA when Jay Leno was doing a skit in the parking lot possibly under the David Letterman show. This was when Jay Leno was first starting out I guess as an actor. After the skit was finished I asked for his autograph but couldn't find any paper for him to sign so quickly thinking and since the hood was opened on my car that was sitting on the sidewalk I asked him to sign my car battery. His answer to me was laughingly, "if I get grease on my clothes I'm going to kill you". He signed the car battery and a week later the battery died. It was a die hard. hoagies202@juno.com.
