John Denver - Minneapolis, Minnesota

In 1974 I was attending college at The University of Minnesota-Mankato. Ten miles north of Mankato was Gustavus Adolphus College. I began dating a boy from that college. There was a group of students who ran around together. One of the student's name was Annie. As it turned out, Annie was dating John Denver. As it happened, when John came to Minneapolis for a concert, a number of us received reserved seating in the front row of the auditorium. After the concert, John would have a party for Annie's friends. I can still remember sitting at a round table with John while we were both having a drink. He was of course friendly and enjoyed socializing. This is a memory I will never forget.
