Plymouth Ice Sculpture Festival
Plymouth, Michigan - January
Description: The Plymouth Ice Sculpture Festival still reigns as the oldest and largest Ice Carving Festival of its kind. The annual event features over 100 statues carved from a single block of ice; numerous multiple block sculptures utilizing from 5 to 100 blocks; dozens of high school, community college, university, and professional ice carvers crafting dazzling statues from 330-pound blocks of ice and a series of special homecoming events. Unlike other winter events, the visitors to Plymouth Community International Ice Sculpture Spectacular watch a carving from the very beginnings of stacking the ice blocks through the carving process to the finished work of ice art. The majority of the carving and the student competitions take place during the daylight hours for the pleasure and enjoyment of the audience.

Grand Rapids Art Festival

National Cherry Festival
Traverse City, Michigan - July
Description: The mission of the National Cherry Festival is to celebrate cherries, tourism and community involvement. The festival normally begins on the first Saturday of July each year. Kalamazoo Blues Festival
Kalamazoo, Michigan - June
Description: The Kalamazoo Blues Festival features two stages...nearly non-stop Blues each day! National acts along with the regions best blues talent comprise the offerings of the Kalamazoo Blues Festival (KBF). The KBF continues to place emphasis on education. Educational performances and workshops will be happening. Children's activities are available. KBF and artists merchandise, food, and beverages will be available on the festival grounds.

Ann Arbor Street Art Fair

African World Festival

Ypsilanti Heritage Festival

Oktoberfest strives to retain as much of our Bavarian heritage as possible and proudly demonstrate this during the Frankenmuth Oktoberfest. Frankenmuth is the first Oktoberfest outside of Munich to be sanctioned by the Parliament and the City of Munich. Come and enjoy the flavor of German cooking! Enjoy a variety of authentic German foods, served daily. Delight your senses with Norm's Market catered delicacies. Be sure to have some of Paula's Famous Funnel cakes.
