Lewis and Clark Festival
Great Falls, Montana - June Description: The Lewis and Clark Festival is held the 2nd weekend in June at the Lewis and Clark State Park, the Lewis and Clark Festival and Keelboat have been featured in several TV documentaries the last few years. Also available for your enjoyment is a muzzleloader shoot, Sunday morning worship service, music all weekend, children's activities, exhibits, float trips, relay race, reenactments and encampments. The Post Office has an operational old time post office complete with a dated Lewis and Clark postmark. Food and memorabilia are also available.

Huckleberry Festival
Trout Creek, Montana - August Description: The Huckleberry Festival is all about the huckleberry, which grows wild in the high mountainous areas of the region, and is a tasty purple fruit unlike any other. The Huckleberry Festival takes place each year during the second weekend of August. People from near and far gather for a great time. The Huckleberry Festival has grown through the years. People flock to taste and purchase the berries, sold on the park grounds to benefit the festival. Food vendors feature the tasty "purple gold" in huckleberry ice cream cones, "huckleberry pizza," on cheesecake, in drinks, and even atop Polish dogs. In addition, more than 100 arts and crafts vendors display and sell their wares at Trout Creek Community Park. Scheduled events include entertainment on stage throughout the weekend, a parade, 5K fun run, dancing under the stars, food by community groups, a pageant, an auction, children's activities, horseshoe contest, and interfaith worship service. The Huckleberry Festival has become a place where the community gathers, families reunite, and those who discover its charms come back year after year.
