The North Country Band: (L to R) Vic, Phil, Chris, Tom
North Country is a four-piece band playing classic country, 50's and rockabilly music. We play the music you grew up on! Victor Tolentino has been the band's leader for more than 30 years. A singer, songwriter and lead and rhythm guitarist, Vic brings a vast history of music to the mic and a love for the classic songs that have made Nashville Music City. From Faron Young to George Strait and the legends of rockabilly - Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash and others - Vic plays and sings the songs you grew up on. He is a past president and current board member of the Wisconsin Country Music Association.
Phil Henzig, the band's lead guitarist, is the newest addition to the group, and brings a rocking sound to our shows, including rockabilly greats by Ricky Nelson, the Stray Cats and more. He has an extensive history of touring, teaching and playing music that spans close to 40 years. His skill on the guitar wows audiences and puts excitement into all our shows. You'll want to hear his cool rockabilly and country licks! He is a newly inducted board member for the Wisconsin Country Music Association.
Christine Henzig has been playing and singing for almost 20 years. The band's bass player and vocalist, she also backs Victor as a duo. Crowds love her interpretation of Olivia Newton-John as well as other classics by Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Glen Campbell and more. Chris wants to meet you, take your requests, get you on the dance floor and invite you back again and again! Chris is a former Vice President and currently Secretary for the Wisconsin Country Music Association.
Tom Waddell has been a drummer and drumming instructor for as long as he can remember and sings both lead and backup. His history includes work with rock, rockabilly, country and polka bands. He brings a tight beat that drives our sound and makes audiences want to dance during each and every set. When he's not playing drums he's often found playing piano or the bass (or driving his Harley!) This is one versatile musician who knows what audiences like! He is a member of the Wisconsin Country Music Association.
