Appalachian Festival Cincinnati
Cincinnati, Ohio - May
Description: What has become one of Cincinnati's most popular annual festivals, Appalachian Festival began 31 years ago in the basement of Cincinnati's Music Hall as a quaint crafts' exhibition developed by the Cincinnati Junior League. Today, the Festival draws nearly 50,000 people over the three-day event to Coney Island on the shores of the Ohio River. There are artisans, crafts, dance, food vendors, storytelling, and bluegrass musical entertainment.

Old West Festival
Cincinnati, Ohio - May
Description: At the Old West Festival, take a trip back in time, before the light bulb or automobile, to Dodge City 1878. It was a town run by famous lawmen like Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp. Where gamblers such as Doc Holiday played faro, and Boothill was a place you didn’t want to be at the end of the night. The Wild West comes to life every spring at The Old West Festival. It's fun for the entire family and history buffs alike. Patrons will be entertained by shopping at a variety of antique, western, and craft vendors. They will chow down on great food and drink, enjoy good music, and applaud the jaw-dropping gunfights. Men and women can run off to the Long Branch Saloon to partake in a cold beer or sasperilla. Later that afternoon adults and children can enjoy a variety show that is historically accurate as well as amusing. The kids will be thoroughly entertained with pony rides, panning for gold or a short trip on the “Sante Fe Deadline” locomotive. A multitude of musical acts throughout the town entertains patrons during the day.

Taste of Cincinnati
Cincinnati, Ohio - May
Description: Taste of Cincinnati USA is held every Memorial Day weekend in downtown Cincinnati. Started in 1979, it is now the nation's longest running culinary arts festival. Approximately 500,000 now attend the annual food extravaganza, making Taste one of the nation's largest street festivals. Taste of Cincinnati was named Food Event of the Year for 1997 by Events Business News, the recognized authority of the special events business in the United States, selecting it out of 40,000 special events across the nation. Taste features more than 40 fine restaurants serving up delicious and delectable menu items. The event is also a music festival, with continuous live entertainment featuring local and national recording stars performing on multiple stages throughout the event.

Banana Split Festival

Ohio State Fair
Columbus, Ohio - August
Description: The multiple day Ohio State Fair features everything from star studded performers and heart stopping rides to livestock exhibits and exceptional displays for the whole family to enjoy. Over 70 rides are featured on the midway and food booths abound throughout the fairgrounds. Four stages of free entertainment are also on site, as well as one of the world's longest skyrides. The annual event features rock and country recording artists, agricultural exhibits, competitions, and shows.

Allen County Fair
