Astoria Crab and Seafood Festival
Astoria, Oregon - April Description: The Astoria Crab and Seafood Festival is Oregon Coast’s largest with more than 200 booths showcasing northwest art, crafts, wine, seafood and more! Live musical entertainment all weekend. The widely popular three-day festival is highlighted by a traditional crab dinner featuring fresh-caught Dungeness crab. Visitors can also sample fresh shrimp, salmon, oysters, halibut, clam chowder and other delicacies throughout the celebration, along with a beer garden and vintages from more than 50 regional wineries.
Portland Rose Festival
Portland, Oregon - May Description: The International Festivals & Events Association agreed and named the Portland Rose Festival Oregon the Best Festival in the World for 2007. This annual 10-day June festival features parades, fireworks, boat and car races, music and kids' events. The Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade is the second largest all-floral parade in North America and the single-largest spectator event in Oregon. Other events include the state's largest airshow, cart races, dragon boat races, and a festival of bands.
