Berks Jazz Festival
Reading, Pennsylvania - March Description: The annual Berks Jazz Festival, presented by the Berks Arts Council features an expansive array of musical styles, including contemporary and traditional jazz, blues and big band, with some gospel and even bluegrass thrown in. Shows are held at major venues, clubs and restaurants throughout Reading and Berks County, making it a truly unique festival. The mission of the Berks Arts Council, formally organized in 1971, is to encourage and promote all of the arts, to develop an appreciation of the arts, and to enrich and enhance the quality of life in Berks County. In between the shows, in the venue lobbies, it’s entertaining to see and shop for a selection of creative, often music-themed merchandise (e.g., tee shirts, artwork, crafts, etc.). In addition, many of your favorite artists will often have “meet and greet."
