Robert Preston - Los Angeles CA

Robert Preston was the star of The Music Man: Harold Hill. I was a big fan and played the part in High School. I saw he was going to be in a brand new Show, Mack and Mabel. He, of course, portraying Mack Sennett. I went and after the show walked to the stage door and asked if I could meet, him! I was waved back stage...I approached tentatively...He smiled and shook my hand.

I had my hand in my pocket and low and behold I had a Music Man ticket stub. "I played Harold Hill in this play." I exclamed.

"Well...how about that!" he said. Mr. Preston was very kind and classy.
