The 184-foot-long Memorial structure spanning the mid-portion of the sunken battleship consists of three main sections: the entry and assembly rooms; a central area designed for ceremonies and general observation; and the shrine room, where the names of those killed on the Arizona are engraved on the marble wall.

These days, the tower (which was built in 1926) serves as the centerpiece of Aloha Tower Marketplace, a complex of shops and restaurants.

Imported from India in 1873, the Lahaina Banyan tree was planted when it was just eight feet tall. Now, the tree is a whopping 60 feet tall, and contains over 12 thick trunks. If you're looking for amazing sights in Maui, be sure to visit the Lahaina Banyan tree, one of the largest Indian Banyan trees in the world.

Today, the site acts as an important shrine to Hawaii history and the ancient monarchy. In addition, guests are welcome to participate in water sports, fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities.

The center is named after Hawaii's first astronaut who tragically perished in the 1986 Challenger Mission. Some of Onizuka's personal items, a lunar sample, and even an Apollo 13 space suit are on exhibit, along with other demonstrations and programs.
