When I was in 8th grade my father took me to the Canadian National Exposition where Roy Rodgers was appearing. After the show as he left the arena, he passed right by us and I got to touch Trigger. It was my brush with greatness. There could be no greater thrill for a boy going up in the USA in the 1950s.
