Captain Gene Costa, USCG Master, was born in the whaling Port of New Bedford where he has been involved in sailing, boating and fishing since he was 7 years old. For 16 years, Captains Gene and Pam Costa ran a successful Yacht Charter business in the Caribbean and Captained private yachts that traveled the world. While Pam was the Chef on-board the Yachts, Captain Gene always prepared the Seafood meals.

Whaling City Seafood combines Captain Gene’s favorites from New England and the Caribbean. He has spent many hours perfecting his recipes to bring you the best from your favorite seafood memories.

Whaling City Seafood's menu includes: English Style Fish & Chips, Rhode Island Clam Cakes, Caribbean Conch Fritters, Fried Calamari and Scallops, Jumbo Fried Shrimp and of course, Captain Gene's Famous Seafood Chowdah! (plenty of clams, mahi-mahi in a New England broth).
