System Aslyum - Rock Band - Birmingham, Alabama
(Birmingham, AL, USA)
System Asylum was formed back in the spring of 2010 in Birmingham, Alabama. The band members consist of Justin McElroy, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the band. Justin loves to play fast and hard licks on the guitar and throwing some raunchy vocals down to back his rhythm up. Andrew Fritsch, the lead guitarist and backup vocalist. Andrew likes to play some heavy alternate picking which compensates his classic rock leads, all while carrying a smooth backup vocal. Trevor Gilbert, the drummer and backup vocalist. Trevor is the heart beat of the band and can put any beat to any tune in seconds. Trevor’s drumming is a thunderous variation of blast beats with a smooth backup vocal that blends well with Justin and Andrew’s vocals. Nick Knight, the bassist. Nick plays some sick bass licks and riffs, he also likes to keep it original and plays upscale on the bass giving the music a nice punk/ska influence, and likes to keep it real with finger picking and throwing a little slap bass every once in a while.
System Asylum is striving for a new but old school sound, with influences of popular bands such as Black Sabbath, The Misfits, and Rancid to The Offspring, Nirvana and Rise Against. Each band member of System Asylum consist of different influences such as classic rock, punk rock, metal, grunge and rockabilly. The band is always striving to expand their horizon in creativity and have music that people will love and can relate to. System Asylum never really likes to categorize their music, but leaves that up to listeners to decide, so there will be no controversial genre taste in music. The band only cares about two things: creating music for the listeners to love and relate to and the listeners themselves. They believe in entertainment for the crowd and will always put a 110 percent effort in anything they do.

We're looking to start traveling more. As of right now, due to trailer issues, the Alabama market is all we can do.
