The Jon Archambault Band

The Jon Archambault Band (pronounced “R-Sham-Bo”) brings together some of Northern Michigan's premier musicians. Good-time, dance able live music with a high quality sound. This group is professional, courteous, family friendly, and most of all... FUN.

Inspired by the passion and showmanship of legendary blues artists such as T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Taj Mahal, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, this band delivers an entertaining and interactive live show. Each attention grabbing performance is charged with music that stirs the soul. Audiences experience timeless classics cast in a new light, and fresh, new original music that makes it clear your listening to accomplished musicians performing in their prime.

Combining elements of blues/jazz/funk/classic rock and instrumental music, the band's technical virtuosity and improvisational style keeps each performance fresh and exciting.

“An exciting blues band that knows how to entertain.”

Jon Archambault - A soulful and exciting guitarist with a deep dedication to the blues. Jon began honing his craft during the 17 years he spent with his first band, the regionally acclaimed "Mojo & the Boogieman", as lead guitarist, song-writer, founder, and band leader. Soon after winning the 2002 Detroit Blues Challenge, Mojo turned heads on the World stage at the 2003 International Blues Challenge held in Memphis, TN., where the band made it all the way to the final round of the competition, 1 of the 8 bands selected from 80 bands competing from around the World. Jon was one of only 5 guitarists (out of more than 100!) nominated for the coveted "Albert King best-of-blues guitarists" Award.
